NS News: Men face charges after drug search and traffic stop, Halifax Regional Municipality, N.S.

Police have arrested a man for Production of Marihuana in Hammonds Plains.

Yesterday evening, members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Hammonds Plains Road.

Police seized over 100 marihuana plants and other drug related material.

A 43-year-old man from Hammonds Plains faces a charge under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act for Production of Cannabis Marihuana. He will be appearing in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.

In a separate matter, the Integrated Drug Unit also conducted a traffic stop in Pockwock and seized 25 cartons of cigarettes and small amount of marihuana. A 46-year-old male and 22-year-old male are facing Possession of a Controlled Substance charge and may face other charges under the Customs and Excise Act.
