NS News: RCMP investigate robbery, Lunenburg County, N.S.

RCMP are investigating a robbery at a local pharmacy in Hubbards.

This afternoon, 1:42 p.m., RCMP responded to an armed robbery call at the Pharmasave on Highway 329.

A lone female holding a syringe demanded a quantity of prescription pills. After staff gave her the drugs, she left the store on foot carrying a red and white grocery bag. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white female, approximately 5’3, with blonde shoulder length hair and a tattoo on her right forearm. She was wearing sunglasses, a camouflage ball cap, green printed t-shirt, black yoga pants and black sandals.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact their local RCMP detachment, or by contacting the Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), text TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash reward from $50 -$2000.

The investigation is continuing.
