Families, friends, and fans of Team Nova Scotia athletes will have a number of ways to stay informed during the 2013 Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke, Que., Aug. 2-17.Daily updates will be made to the website teamnovascotia.ca, including results, the day's schedule of events and a slide show of photos capturing athlete experiences.

Families, friends, and fans of Team Nova Scotia athletes will have a number of ways to stay informed during the 2013 Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke, Que., Aug. 2-17.

Daily updates will be made to the website teamnovascotia.ca, including results, the day’s schedule of events and a slide show of photos capturing athlete experiences.

Additional photos will be added throughout each day so fans should check the site often.

Team Nova Scotia will also be updating its twitter account, @teamnovascotia, and facebook account, Facebook.com/teamns. Nova Scotians are encouraged to tweet or Facebook greetings to their favorite athlete at either account.

For those with smartphones, 2013 Canada Games has also created a mobile application. Fans can download the jcg2013 mobile app for real-time results, medal rankings, webcasts of some events and much more.

The 2013 Canada Summer Games feature more than 4,000 athletes competing in 20 sports at 20 venues.

The Canada Games are held every two years, alternating between summer and winter. They are key in developing Canada’s young athletes, producing the next generation of national, international and Olympic champions.
