NYE 2015

When it comes to New Years Eve it’s pretty much the best excuse to get fully done up. Truth be told I love dressing up, and I actually feel more comfortable when I’m slightly over dressed than under. I think it’s largely due to the fact that my mother always had us in pretty dresses, and made sure our hair was just so. I remember as a kid my teachers used to look forward to seeing me come to school because they wanted to see my outfit of the day or my hair. Is it any wonder I became a style blogger?

FEATURED ITEMS: Dress, H&M. Shoes, c/o Nine West. Pearl Necklace, H&M. Choker, Gifted. Clutch, Victoria’s Secret. Watch Bulova.
Now this is not to say that I didn’t oblige because I certainly loved every minute of it (well maybe not the hair pulling mothers certainly can be notoriously rough when it comes to hair) all photos of me of a kid I’m pretty much wearing a basic uniform. I wanted to wear my most pretty dresses with a million accessories (coco would roll over in her grave) with some form of “high heels” and probably sunglasses. I’ll have to dig out some photos for you blog readers, and do a post because I’m sure you’d find it quite comical.
As you can imagine my mother came up with many nicknames for me over the years. From Zsa Zsa (inspired by the actress Zsa Zsa Gabor) to Miss Priss, and even Elton John (which arguably that  one was probably the most accurate lol) there was no shortage of comical references she would come up with me.
In any case New Years Eve is probably one of my favorite days of the year because nothing you wear is too over the top, and I’ll pretty much take any excuse to wear a cute dress and some red lipstick. What are you wearing tonight blog reader? Any big plans? What do you normally do on New Years? I’m hosting a party at my place, and watching the fireworks, and I couldn’t be more excited to get everyone I adore together in one place.
Happy New Year Blog Reader!
