An off-duty RCMP officer is facing charges of Uttering Threats and Mischief.
On Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, Richmond County RCMP received a complaint about a male RCMP officer threatening another man.
During the course of the investigation, it was alleged that the officer had also damaged property during a separate incident.
Later that day, 36-year-old Shawn Donald James Greene was arrested without incident and charged with Uttering Threats and Mischief (related to property damage). He appeared in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court yesterday and was released on conditions. His next court appearance is November 4, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.
An eight year member, currently stationed at St. Peter’s Detachment, Cst. Greene is now suspended with pay. Nova Scotia RCMP will also conduct an internal investigation into the incidents.
