Officer charged regarding allegations related to the sale of stolen property

SiRT release:

The Director of the Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT) has reasonable grounds to believe that a member of the Halifax Regional Police (HRP) has committed criminal offences.

On September 4, 2025, SiRT received a referral from HRP regarding allegations related to the sale of stolen property, including bicycles and other property, by an HRP officer.

Following the investigation, on October 29, 2025, Cst. Fallon Clarke was charged with one count of breach of trust under section 122 the Criminal Code, one count of false pretence under section 362(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, one count of obstruction under section 129(a) of the Criminal Code, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime with a value over $5000.00 under section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

Cst. Clarke will appear before the Nova Scotia Provincial Court at 5250 Spring Garden Road, Halifax, Nova Scotia on November 27, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.

SiRT is responsible for investigating all matters that involve death, serious injury, sexual assault and intimate partner violence or other matters of a public interest to be investigated that may have arisen from the actions of any police officer, on or off duty, in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick. Investigations are under the direction and control of an independent civilian director, who has the sole authority to determine if charges should be laid at the conclusion of an investigation.
