Officers determined a suspicious package at Pier 21 contained personal belongings.
At about 11:32 p.m., Halifax Regional Police received a call from Halifax Port Security about a suspicious bag on a bench in front of Pier 21, when officers arrived they determined the knapsack had been on the bench for a few hours.
Officers cordoned the area off and contacted the Halifax Regional Police Explosives Disposal Unit and a Halifax Regional Police explosives detection canine unit, these officers determined the package was not suspicious in nature and contained personal items.
Officers are asking anyone who has any information about this incident to contact police by calling 902-490-5016.
