Officials Warn Of Potential Exposure To COVID-19 At Elmsdale Restaurant

NSHA Public Health is advising of a potential public exposure to COVID-19 on March 23 and 24 at Rob Bitar’s Ristorante, 689 Highway 2, Elmsdale.
Public Health has been directly contacting anyone known to be a contact of the case involved. While most people have been contacted, there could be some restaurant patrons that Public Health is not aware of.
It is anticipated anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, April 6, 2020. COVID-19 symptoms include:
  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Difficulty breathing
If you have COVID-19 symptoms:
  • Take the COVID-19 online self-assessment questionnaire to determine if you need to call 811.
  • If needed, call 811 for assessment. Please self-isolate until you receive 811 advice on next steps.
  • Do not go directly to a COVID-19 assessment centre without being directed to do so by 811.
All Nova Scotians are advised to continue monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms and are urged to follow Public Health guidelines on how to access care. Up to date information about COVID-19 is available at novascotia.ca/coronavirus
