L-A: Do you ever get that feeling of excitement and happiness that is just so overwhelming that you just want to eat your happiness or squeeze it into a bear hug? Something akin to this, but mixed with a jumpy clap?
Yeah, well I just got that when I saw this in an email:
Marimekko at Banana Republic, bitches. I can’t even.
Marimekko patterns give me all the happiness. And I know for a fact some of you agree with me. I love, love that top, so I’m super excited to see what the dress is going to look like. There will also be a clutch. I’m not going to bother with the shorts, but I will raise a glass to you if you can pull off short shorts in a bold print (I just don’t do shorts. Ever). But I’m also hoping that the “dramatic full skirt” that’s coming is going to be something magic that I will cut a bitch for.
Downside to this collection? It’ll only be at select locations and we’re going to have to wait until May to get on that. We’ll let you know when we know more about this. In the meantime, let’s all pray to the Patron Saint of Capsule Collections that it arrives at our Banana Republics and we get to rock some reasonably priced Marimekko this summer (collection will range from $50 -$175).
