On Wednesday Oct. 3, Nova Scotia Health Authority and other agencies will be participating in a large-scale emergency preparedness exercise

An important notice for patients and families: On Wednesday Oct. 3, Nova Scotia Health Authority and other agencies will be participating in a large-scale emergency preparedness exercise. NSHA conducts regular small- and large-scale exercises to test our disaster-response plans.

During the period of the exercise, Wednesday morning visitors to the emergency departments at Dartmouth General Hospital and the QEII’s Halifax Infirmary site may see unusual activity related to the exercise.

However, normal operations will be going on as usual. The emergency departments will be open and fully staffed to care for patients.
