What’s with all this media? Jeez, you’d think I had emailed all of them, pleading for publicity (edit: I did).
The Chronicle Herald gave you a heads up that you’ll likely get sick of me before the 30th Annual Atlantic Film Festival is over in today’s section of TATTLER…
One face will become familiar at film fest
Halifax actor Glen Matthews may seem to be appearing everywhere during the Atlantic Film Festival.
Matthews has roles in three films being shown at the fest, was assistant director on another and will take part in Script Out Loud.
He was part of the feature-length horror film The Corridor from Dartmouth writer Josh MacDonald and director Evan Kelly, screening on Wednesday at Park Lane. Matthews was also in Blush Response, a short film by Ian Burns screening on Monday at 9:20 p.m. as part of the Atlantic Shorts IV at Park Lane. You’ll also find him in a preview of Moby Dick which will be shown before Mike Barker’s Sea Wolf on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. at the Oxford Theatre.
He was assistant director on The Button, a short film by Picnicface that is part of the CBC Atlantic Shorts Gala on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at The Oxford Theatre. And he wll take part in the Script Out Loud series in which a soon-to-be-shot feature length script, Cory Bowles’ Cracker Factory, is read out loud in front of a room of industry professionals on Friday at noon at The Carleton.
I don’t know who this Glen Matthews guy is, but he sounds like a jerk.
