At 9:11 p.m. police attempted to conduct a traffic stop at Robie St. near Lady Hammond Rd. The vehicle did not stop and fled from police.
Police lost sight of the vehicle and then it was located after it had struck a tree on Barrington St. near Glebe St. in Halifax. The driver had fled the vehicle on foot. Police with the assistance of the K9 Unit conducted a track and at 11:18 p.m. one male was taken into custody.
The investigation is in its preliminary stages and further information will be released when available.
