Halifax Regional Police have charged a man in relation to two bank robberies that occurred this month in Halifax.
On July 19 at approximately 10:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Scotiabank branch at 5656 Spring Garden Road. A man approached the teller and demanded money. He fled the bank with a quantity of cash. Central Division patrol officers arrested the man in the area a short time later without incident.
Investigators have determined that the man was also responsible for a robbery on July 11 at the TD Bank branch at 5495 Spring Garden Road.
Gordon Lewis George Wilson, 68, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face two counts of robbery.
