The Ceilidh Storm team wins gold in the Plate division at the PeeWee Girls Fastpitch Canadian Championship in Montreal.

Katheryne Ladouceur is a grade 8 student at Bedford South School. She joined this team as one of two pitchers.

The team is comprised of players from across Nova Scotia, including Port Hood, Antigonish, Truro, Laurencetown and Bedford.

Ceilidh Storm had a chance to play against some very good teams from other provinces, including the Bowl division winners, the Windsor Ontario Lady Expos.

The Lady Expos won against the Nova Scotia team only by one run on Thursday night.

Katheryne finished the tournament with only a handful of runs against her and memories she will cherish for years to come.

This great adventure would not have been possible without the help of parents, sponsors and donators.

Thank you to MLA Kelly Regan and Councillor Tim Outhit for their support.
