One Of Two Suspects In Forbes Street Break-In Located

 
At about 6:00 pm this evening February 20th, members of the Halifax Regional Police East Quick Response Unit located Anthony Michael Leadley inside a residence in the 0-100 block of Windmill Road in Dartmouth. 
The male was arrested without incident and taken into custody. Mr. Leadley is being held in custody and will be attending Halifax Court on February 21ST to face numerous charges including 2 counts of attempted murder and several weapon related offences.
 
On February 19th at 10:12 p.m, Halifax Regional Police responded to the 0-100 block of Forbes Street for a break and enter into an apartment. The victims informed officers that two men broke into the apartment, one was armed with a hand gun and confronted the occupants. The suspects chased a male occupant out of the apartment where at least two shots were fired. The suspects then fled the scene. No one was injured during the incident.
 
At about 12:50 am Patrol members observed a vehicle that was believed to be associated with one of the suspects in this incident. Officers attempted to check the vehicle after it went behind an apartment building in the 0-100 block of Windmill Road in Dartmouth. The lone occupant fled the scene on foot. K9 unit attended and conducted a track; however, the suspect was not located. Investigators believe this is not a random act as all the parties involved in this incident are known to one another.
 
A Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for 20-year-old Christian Enang Clyke and 21-year-old Anthony Michael Leadley in relation to this investigation.  They have been charged with the following offences:
 
CC 239 – Attempted murder (2 counts)
CC 266(a) – Assault (3 counts)
CC 267(a) – Assault with a weapon (2 counts)
CC 267(b) – Assault causing bodily harm
CC 344 – Robbery
CC 264.1(1) (a) – Uttering threats
CC 348 (1) (b) – Break and enter with intent
CC 85(1)(a) – Use of a firearm in the commission of an offence
CC 86(1) – Careless use of a firearm
CC 86(2) – Unsafe storage of a firearm
CC 87 – Pointing a firearm
CC 88(1) – Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
CC 90 – Carrying a concealed weapon
CC 92(1) – Unauthorized possession of a restricted weapon
CC 95(1) – Possession of a prohibited weapon
CC 117.01(1) – Possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order
CC 244 – Discharging a firearm with intent
CC 244.2(1) (a) – Discharging a firearm – reckless endangerment to the life of another person (2 counts)
CC 733.1(1) (a) – Breach of Probation
 
Clyke is described as a black man, 6’, 150 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.
 
Clyke is still at large and considered armed and dangerous,members of the public should not approach him or try to take matters into their own hands.
