One youth, four others face drug charges

Police have charged two men, two women and a youth with multiple offences in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.

On June 30, investigators in the Guns and Gangs Unit of the Integrated Criminal investigation Division, with the assistance of the Drug Unit and Central Patrol Division officers, searched an address on Federal Avenue in Halifax in relation to an ongoing drug investigation. Officers arrested five people at the scene and seized a quantity of cocaine, multiple sets of body armour as well as a quantity of cash.

Two men ages 56 and 46, two women ages 45 and 38, and a 17-year-old male youth are scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face one count each of possession for the purpose of trafficking and production of a controlled substance.
