Opi Launches Fifty Shades Of Grey Collection

OPI recently launched a collection inspired by the very popular book series ’50 Shades of Gray’, and with 6 different seductive shades to choose from: here’s your exclusive sneak peek!

“The Fifty Shades of Grey book series is one of the greatest publishing sensations of all time, with more than 100 million copies sold to date.
Fans have fallen in love with the characters and are eager to see them translated onscreen,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder & Brand Ambassador.
“The collection captures the mood, feelings and emotions of this film with assorted hues of gray, ranging from glittering and gleaming silvers to cool gray crèmes to dark charcoal. The collection also features a rich crème red to represent passion.
“Color is so much more than something to admire. The colors we choose to wear represent our personalities, our moods, our feelings,” continues Weiss-Fischmann. “The collection bottles the film’s passion, luxury and power in six beautiful nail lacquers ideal for expressing sensuality through beauty.”

The OPI collection includes the following shades:
My Silk Tie  This silky, gleaming silver has got me all tied up.
Romantically InvolvedI’m in a deep relationship with this luscious crème red.
Dark Side of the Mood This brooding, stormy charcoal is dangerously gorgeous.
Shine for Me This shimmering silver with subtle blue sparkle really turns me on!
Cement the Deal I’d sign anything to get my hands on this stony, cool gray.
Embrace the GrayLet this chic, moody gray crème become one with you.

Each nail lacquer shade features OPI’s exclusive ProWideTM Brush for the ultimate in application. The collection will be available beginning January 2015 for a limited time only. Nail lacquers will retail for $11.50 CAN each at Professional Salons and Spas across Canada.

Despite having not read the books (yet) I adore the collection! I’m a huge fan of gray nail polish right now; I mean how else can you accurately display the dreariness of the months of January than on your finger nails right? And when you get out of your sunless funk you can opt for the gorgeous pink and red lacquers in this collection.

In this photo below I’m wearing the “my silk tie” and “shine for me” layered over top my ring finger for a nice little accent nail. I sported these nails on New Years Eve for a super glam look, and I’ve been receiving crazy compliments on them ever since.

The silver “silk tie” shade does actually look like silk it’s super shiny, and has a foil like texture: I love it. The color goes on great, and held up well too; although I’ve been pretty good at maintaining a constant slob status lately, so it’s not like I really pushed them (or myself) too hard.

Needless to say I had a great break, and I’m back to the grind now, so don’t worry you don’t need to send help! Unless help comes in the form of coffee because without my ten hours of holiday sleep per night I’m feeling the hurt.

Hope you enjoyed this preview of the OPI 50 Shades Of Gray Collection. Which color is your favorite?
