At 8:40 PM members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to an unwanted party complaint in the 0-100 block of Foxwood Terrace.

Upon arrival, a male party was located who was the subject being complained about. When questioned by police this individual explained to responding officers that the subject who resided at the Foxwood address had assaulted several of his family members with bear spray. The follow up investigation confirmed this allegation, specifically that a half an hour earlier 4 adult persons ( 2 male and 2 female) were parked in a car near 386 Herring Cove Road when a subject known to them approached their vehicle and sprayed them through the window with a noxious substance. The 4 victims were located, then treated and released by EHS. The party responsible for the assault, a 20 year old male from the Halifax area was taken into custody without incident. He has been charged with assault with a weapon and a breach of a court order. The accused has been held and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court in the morning.

At 2:14 AM a member of the Halifax Regional Police was at an address in the 0-100 block of Galaxy Drive in East Division, the officer was taking a statement from a party at this location. Upon completion of the statement the officer returned to his vehicle and discovered that it had been broken into, the vehicles interior had been damaged and the officers patrol briefcase had been stolen. Several HRP units with additional Cole Harbour RCMP support flooded into the area and contained it. Within 30 minutes two suspects were located and detained, when searched property belonging to the officer was located. K9 attended the scene and conducted a property search which led to the recovery of all of the stolen items. Two male subjects, aged 19 and 22, from the Dartmouth area have been charged with theft, possession and property damage. Both have been held and will appear in Dartmouth Court in the morning.
