Painting To Go On Auction Next Week

Peter Maytas is in the middle of completing the painting of Lance Armstrong.  It created a focal point to a beautiful day along Argyle Street.

The Economy Shoe Shop kindly gave table space to allow the public a full view of Peter as he created the 7 X 7 ft canvas. Ukulele Mike played some tunes during the lunch hour. The event had two goals. One was to raise awareness of the responsibility of cyclists and car users that share the same tarmac. The second is to raise money for the family that was left behind by the tragic death of a Toronto cyclist last week during an altercation with a car. The finished painting will be auctioned off next week on haligonia.ca via Ebay. 100% of the monies raised will go to the family. The Painting will go on auction via haligonia.ca and ebay.
