Pair faces charges after drug search, Stellarton, N.S.

Charges are pending against 2 adults, one male and a female, after a drug search in Stellarton. Last evening at approximately 9 p.m., the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU), along with the assistance of the Stellarton Police Service, executed a search warrant at a residence on Rutherford Street in Stellarton.

Charges are pending against 2 adults, one male and a female, after a drug search in Stellarton.

Last evening at approximately 9 p.m., the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU), along with the assistance of the Stellarton Police Service, executed a search warrant at a residence on Rutherford Street in Stellarton.

A man and woman, both 62 years old, were arrested without incident. Police seized 72 grams of marijuana, a quantity of unstamped cigarettes and a small amount of cash.

Both accused, who are facing charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Unstamped Tobacco under the Excise Act, were released from police custody and are set to appear in Pictou Provincial court on October 27th, 2014. The investigation continues.
