The RCMP/HRP Integrated Major Crimes Unit has laid additional sexual assault charges against a paramedic.
On October 17th, James Duncan Keats was arrested and charged with four counts of sexual assault and four counts of breach of trust.
All charges stem from allegations of inappropriate conduct while Keats was working as a paramedic with Emergency Health Services (EHS).
Police allege this incidents occurred between December 20th, 2010 and April 21st, 2013 and involve four female victims ranging from 24 to 64 years of age. The offences occurred while patients were being transported in an EHS ambulance from Windsor, Fall River and Lower Sackville to hospital.
Keats currently has three prior charges of sexual assault and breach of trust before the courts. He has been remanded into custody and is appearing in Halifax Provincial Court this morning.
