A man was apprehended and charged with drug trafficking following a disturbance on Joseph Howe Drive. Around 10:15 a.m today, officers arrived at the 3600 block after reports of an altercation in a parking lot, where a man in a vehicle allegedly brandished what appeared to be a firearm at another individual before fleeing the scene.
The police soon located and arrested the suspect in the vicinity. During the arrest, they confiscated cocaine and cash from both the driver and the vehicle, although no firearm was found.
The accused, a 41-year-old man, is set to appear in Halifax provincial court to respond to charges of possession with intent to traffic.
