Part of Old Sackville Road reduced to one-way on Thursday

Commuters in Sackville should prepare for upcoming traffic adjustments on Old Sackville Road. Scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 21, the road will be partially closed to facilitate important street restoration activities following recent utility work.

The closure, effective from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will specifically impact the section of Old Sackville Road between Beaver Bank Road and Lindsay Court. During this period, traffic will be restricted to one-way only, running from Lindsay Court toward Beaver Bank Road.

A clearly marked detour route will be established around the work area. This detour will be operational for the duration of the street restoration near the construction zone. Additionally, to accommodate pedestrians, all sidewalks along Old Sackville Road will remain open.

Motorists traveling through the area should expect some delays and are strongly advised to consider alternative routes if possible.
