Pedestrian hit by Transit Bus

HRP release:

Police investigated a vehicle pedestrian collision that occurred in Dartmouth yesterday.

At approximately 6:15 p.m. officers responded to a report of a pedestrian that was injured in the area of Wright and Ilsley avenues.  The driver of a Halifax Transit bus was turning right on to Wright Avenue and struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
