Pedestrian Hit In Crosswalk At South & Queen

A man was issued a ticket yesterday after hitting a female in a crosswalk in the south end of Halifax last night.

From Halifax Police:

 

“At 2123 hours police attended the intersection of South and Queen St in relation to a MVA involving a pedestrian.  A 22 year old female was crossing the street on the Walk sign when she was struck by a 64 year old driver who was turning right onto South Street.   He was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in crosswalk.  The victim was transported to the hospital by police to be assessed.”
