Pedestrian hit in marked crosswalk

Police are investigating a vehicle pedestrian collision that occurred in Dartmouth last night.

At approximately 7 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle pedestrian collision in the 200 block of Pleasant Street Dartmouth. A 25-year-old woman was crossing Pleasant Street in a marked crosswalk and was struck by a northwest bound vehicle. The woman was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian while in a crosswalk.
