On December 8th at approx. 8:50 PM – HRP officers responded to a motor vehicle accident where a pedestrian had been struck and seriously injured. 
The accident occurred on Barrington St. in the south bound lane approx 16 meters from the cross walk at Barrington & Cornwallis. According to witnesses the pedestrian was crossing Barrington St. from east to west, he was not in the crosswalk, he was narrowly missed by one vehicle when he was then struck by a second. The 28 year old male victim was taken to the QE2 Hospital and remains there with injuries described as very serious. Charges are not anticipated in this incident.
