Pedestrian hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after collision

HRP release:

Police are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred in Dartmouth overnight.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a vehicle-pedestrian collision at the intersection of Victoria Road and Frances Street in Dartmouth. A 49-year-old man was crossing the street when he was stuck by a vehicle. The man was transported to hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries. 

Victoria Road was shut down to all traffic while the collision was investigated; the road re-opened around 4:15 a.m. The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been laid at this time.
