At approximately 6 p.m. last evening, the Truro Police Service responded to a call of a car striking a pedestrian at the intersection of McClures Mills Rd and Abenaki Rd in Truro.

When officers arrived on the scene, it was determined that this incident was intentional, and the driver of the vehicle purposely struck the male victim and fled the scene.

The suspect vehicle is a black GMC Terrain with Nova Scotia license HCH 125. The suspect is described as a male with a slender build and multiple facial tattoos.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to Colchester East Hants Health Centre.

The Truro Police Criminal Investigation Division is asking anyone with dash camera video or anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact Truro Police Service at 902-895-5351,  file # 23- 1630166.
