At 2:12 p.m., police responded to a vehicle/pedestrian collision at the intersection of Lower Water and Morris Streets. A 50-year-old woman was crossing Lower Water Street in an unmarked crosswalk, when she was hit by the trailer part of a tractor-trailer travelling north on Lower Water Street. The tractor-trailer did not remain at the scene and was followed by a witness to Africville Road where it was stopped by police. The pedestrian was transported to hospital by EHS for treatment of what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

No charges have been laid and this collision remains under investigation.
