Pedestrian vs vehicle incident results in attempted murder charges

Thursday evening around 730 pm, Truro Police Service responded to a call regarding a motor vehicle accident between a vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of c. in Truro.

As the investigation progressed it was learned that the driver of the vehicle and the pedestrian were known to each other and that the driver intentionally struck the pedestrian.

The accused in this matter has been arrested and police are seeking a remand for an appearance in Truro Provincial Court for Monday morning.

Trevor Gerald Archibald, 37, of Truro is charged with a number of offences with the most serious being attempted murder. (Please see attached information).

The victim received minor physical injuries.
