(Photo) Cash stolen during store robbery

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that occurred Saturday April 1st, 2023, at 10:05 p.m.

Just after 10 p.m. on April 1st, 2023, officers responded to a report of a hold up alarm at the Needs Convenience Store located at 6130 Chebucto Rd., Halifax. Upon arrival officers learned that a robbery had just taken place.

The suspect entered the store and displayed an object that was believed to be a knife and demanded cash from the staff member. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was physically injured during this incident.

The suspect is described as: 

White male, 5’10” in height, heavy set 200-250lbs, red zippered hoodie jacket with white lettering, black pants, black footwear, black beanie style hat, and a black colored mask.

The matter is currently under investigation by the Patrol Division.
