Photo released of gas station robbery suspect

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that occurred in Halifax Wednesday morning.

At approximately, 2:40 a.m. Wednesday October 16th, officers responded to a robbery that occurred at the Irving Gas Station at 6515 Quinpool Road. A woman entered the store and threatened the employee with a knife and demanded money, cigarettes and scratch tickets. The suspect fled the area on foot with a quantity of money, cigarettes and scratch tickets. The victim was not physically injured.

The suspect is described to police as being a white woman, 5’6” tall, who is approximately 40-years-old. At the time, the suspect was carrying a black bag and was wearing a black puffy winter coat, black pants and red sneakers.
