Photos & Police Statement: Hit & Run On Agrigola and North Streets This Afternoon

Halifax Regional Police is currently on scene at a motor vehicle collision in Halifax that has resulted in two pedestrians being struck while walking on the sidewalk.
 
A white SUV travelling on Agricola Street near the North Street intersection collided with two other vehicles, which resulted in one of the vehicles striking two pedestrians who were walking on the sidewalk. The pedestrians were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
 
Police request the public’s assistance in locating the white SUV involved in the initial motor vehicle collision, as the driver fled the scene before police arrival. It is believed the vehicle would have extensive damage to its front end.
 
The following streets are closed to all traffic at this time: Agricola Street between McCully and Charles Streets, and North Street between Maynard and Robie Streets. They will be closed for several hours. Officers are on scene directing traffic.
