Photos released of suspect after firearms incident at West End supermarket

Police are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a weapons incident that occurred in Halifax last month.

On March 7 police responded to report of a man with what was believed to be a firearm at the Sobeys store on Mumford Road. A man threatened a person who was not known to him, showed him what was believed to be a firearm and then left the area on foot.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 50s, approximately 5’8”, 160 lbs. with gray hair and a gray beard. At the time of the incident the man was wearing a gray and white baseball hat, a black and white jacket and black pants.
