At approximately 10:05 P.M. Halifax Regional Police officers responded to a call of an 18 wheeler tractor trailer that had overturned on the Fairview Overpass. 

The vehicle had been travelling on the ramp from Joe Howe Drive to the Fairview Overpass when it appears that the cargo in the trailer had shifted causing the vehicle to overturn on to its side. The driver of the truck was the only occupant and was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons. He has since been released from hospital. The Fairview Overpass was closed to all vehicle traffic until 2:30 A.M. in order for a crane to be brought in to lift the vehicle back on to its wheels. At this time the matter is still under investigation.
