Pictou County RCMP Investigate Intentional MVA

Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision where a female motorist intentionally hit another driver with her vehicle.

On February 23, 2016, just before 2 p.m., Pictou County District RCMP attended a two-vehicle collision on Sherbrooke Road in Coalburn.  A car and a pick-up truck were damaged but no one was injured.  Further investigation revealed that the driver of the car struck the truck intentionally.

The 21-year-old driver of the car, Emma Halliday, was arrested, taken to court and charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of breach of an undertaking.  She has been remanded into custody until February 25, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Pictou Provincial Court.

The investigation is ongoing.
