Pictou District RCMP respond to collision involving school bus, Greenhill, N.S.

Pictou District RCMP is currently at the scene of a two-vehicle collision involving a school bus.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., RCMP, Emergency Health Services (EHS), Scotsburn and Alma Fire Departments responded to the collision involving a school bus and a SUV on Dan Fraser Rd.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the school bus was traveling south and the SUV was traveling north when the collision occurred.

EHS assessed both drivers and the 27 students. There were no injuries requiring further medical attention. The school bus sustained moderate damage while the SUV sustained extensive damage.

An RCMP collision Reconstructionist is at the scene and the investigation is continuing.
