Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – Crews began removing the playground equipment at DeWolf Park in Bedford this week in preparation for the installation of new equipment and a rubberized play surface later this month.
Depending on the weather, the removal is expected to take about four days. The playground area will be closed to the public during that time, as well as during the installation of the new equipment. The rest of the park will remain open, including the adult fitness equipment.
The new playground equipment has been ordered. Once it arrives, the installation work is expected to take up to three weeks to complete, followed by the laying of the new rubberized play surface. The playground is expected to reopen to the public by Oct. 30.
