Thursday, April 30, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that there may be some delays on their commute tomorrow, May 1, as crews carry out asphalt patching in the area of Dartmouth known as Five Corners.
This work will begin at about 9 a.m. Friday on the block of Pleasant Street between Portland and Albert streets. At about 1 p.m., crews will move to Portland Street between Pleasant and Maitland streets. This work is expected to wrap up at about 4 p.m.
During that time there will be lane drops in place. Motorists should expect some delays and watch for detour signage if driving in the area. If possible, motorists should consider alternative routes.
The municipality apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause; however, the work is necessary to repair the road surface and ensure it is safe for all users.
