Police advise motorists to use caution out on roads

There have been several collisions reported across HRM over the last few hours. RCMP have responded to motor vehicle crashes on the 100 series highways. Municipal streets in Halifax are snow-covered and slippery at this hour, and Halifax Regional Police report several minor collisions.

HRM Partners in Policing would also like to remind the motoring public to adjust their driving habits and be mindful in the change of road conditions over the hours of the weather system. In order to safely arrive at your destination, please slow down, allow extra time to reach your destination and allow extra stopping distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you.
