Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who approached a female youth earlier this week in Halifax.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who approached a female youth earlier this week in Halifax.

On April 11 at approximately 5:30 p.m. a man approached an 11-year-old girl and grabbed her wrist while she was playing outside with her friends in the area of Cambridge and Geldert Streets. The girl screamed and the man fled on foot toward Jubilee Road. She was not physically injured. The incident was reported to police last evening.

The man is described as white, in his 30’s with gray or white hair. He was wearing jeans, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and sneakers.
