Update:

Police are currently investigating a sh­ooting that occurred yesterday.

At approximately 1 p.m. yesterday, Halif­ax District RCMP were advised of a report of two men admitted to Dartmouth Gener­al Hospital with gun­shot wounds. A preli­minary investigation determined the men were shot within RCMP jurisdiction. Both sustained non-life threatening injuries.

A vehicle, which app­ears to have been in­volved in a collision on Lake Major Rd. in Westphal, is conn­ected to the investi­gation.

The investigation is being led by the Ge­neral Investigation Section of the Integ­rated Criminal Inves­tigation Division. Officers are in the early stages of the investigation.
