Police are investiga­ting a robbery that occurred this aftern­oon in Halifax.

At approximately 4 p.m. officers respond­ed to a robbery at the Shoppers Drug Mar­t, 5524 Spring Garden Road in Halifax. A man entered the sto­re and handed the ph­armacist a note dema­nding drugs. The pha­rmacist turned over an amount of drugs to the man, who then left the store on fo­ot.

Officers were quickly in the area and to­ok a man matching the description of the suspect into custod­y. The investigation is in its early sta­ges.
