At approximately 1:45 p.m. on March 6, officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the Sobeys Smoke Shop, 210 Wyse Road. A man entered the store, approached the clerk and demanded cash. The suspect obtained a package of cigarettes and a quantity of cash. He left the store on foot and was last seen travelling north on Wyse Road. The suspect is described as a white man, 5’10”, average build, wearing a blue toque, black leather jacket, and a grey scarf that covered the bottom half of his face. The employee was not injured and the suspect did not have a weapon.
This matter is in the early stages of the investigation. Members of Patrol and the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing the investigation.
