Police are investiga­ting a robbery that occurred yesterday afternoon in Dartmout­h

At approximately 1:45 p.m. on March 6, officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the Sobeys Smoke Shop, 210 Wyse Road. A man entered the store, approached the clerk and demanded cash. The suspect obtained a package of cigare­ttes and a quantity of cash. He left the store on foot and was last seen travell­ing north on Wyse Ro­ad. The suspect is described as a white man, 5’10”, average build, wearing a blue toque, black leath­er jacket, and a grey scarf that covered the bottom half of his face. The employ­ee was not injured and the suspect did not have a weapon.

This matter is in the early stages of the investigation. Mem­bers of Patrol and the General Investiga­tion Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Divisi­on are continuing the investigation.
