Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a bank in Halifax this afternoon.

At approximately 1 p.m. officers responded to a report of a robbery that had occurred at the Royal Bank in the Halifax Shopping Centre, 7001 Mumford Road in Halifax.

The man entered the branch, indicated to staff that he had a knife and demanded money. The man left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash and fled into the mall.

A 45-year-old man later turned himself in to police headquarters.​ He is facing charges in relation to the robbery.
