Police are investigating a weapons call in the Spryfield area this morning.

Police responded to a weapons call that originated in the 0-500 block of Herring Cove Road in Halifax.

Police were able to locate and arrest the suspect a short time later without incident. A replica firearm was seized. This is not believed to be a random incident as the parties were known to each other.

A 20-year-old-Halifax man has been arrested and is expected to be in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of threats, possession of a weapon, assault with a weapon, and criminal harassment.
