Police are making the public aware of suspicious activity that occurred this week in Dartmouth.

On February 25, police were called to a report of a man who had followed a youth for a short distance on Bonnie Brae Drive in Dartmouth. When the youth stopped to wait for the bus, the man said nothing but motioned to come toward his vehicle. The youth ran away from the scene and the man also left the area.

The man was described as an elderly man, clean shaven, wearing glasses and was wearing a glove on one hand. The vehicle is described as an older model brown or yellow car, similar to a hatchback.

In this case, the youth did the right thing by not approaching the vehicle, running away and letting a responsible adult know of the incident.

Police would like to speak with the driver about this incident and are asking the driver or anyone who has information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or by using the P3 Tips app.
