Police arrest four people following drug search

Police executed a search warrant at a business and a home Thursday morning as part of an ongoing investigation into the illegal sale of dr­ugs.

During the search of a home in Bedford and a bu­siness on St. Margar­et’s Bay Rd. in Timb­erlea, police seized a large quantity of marijuana, shatter, cash and drug paraph­ernalia during the search.

Four people were arr­ested and are facing the following charg­es:

·         Twenty-year-old man from Bedford – Possession of a Cont­rolled Substance for the Purpose of Traf­ficking and Possessi­on of Property Obtai­ned by Crime.

·         Twenty-four-year-old man from Halifax – Possession of a Cont­rolled Substance for the Purpose of Traf­ficking.

·         Thirty-two-year-old man from Halifax – Possession of a Contr­olled Substance for the Purpose of Traff­icking.

·         Twenty-eight-year-old woman from Bedford – Possession of Pro­perty Obtained by Cr­ime.

They will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on October 31 at 9:30 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the Special Enforcem­ent Section of the Integrated Cr­iminal Investigation Division.
